Seafood moves in three states — live, ice-fresh and frozen — and each one puts a different demand on the box. Ice-fresh is the most common and the most misunderstood.
Ice-fresh: not the same as chilled
Ice-fresh fish is packed in ice, which means the box holds a mixture of meltwater and fish at close to 0°C. That meltwater is the problem: it is salt, it corrodes metal fittings and it finds every poorly sealed joint. A rotomoulded HHPE body has no seams for it to attack, which is why the SR series is what we recommend for fish markets over a glass-fibre body with visible joins.
Configuration
- Ice-fresh — SR-C05 1000L at 0°C, or the FP05 1310L where volume matters.
- Frozen — SR-C25 at -20°C for premium catch, FP25 at -18°C for bulk.
- Fittings — specify stainless or treated hardware on any box that will see salt water. Ask us and we will confirm what is used on your build.
- Washing — the rotomoulded body takes pressure washing directly. Check door seals annually; salt degrades rubber faster than anything else.

Send the cargo, the route and the temperature requirement, and we will recommend a box and an EXW price.
